EIWWAT Documentary:
Inside the Mind of a 'WoW'-Addict
This documentary is witness to the dire consequences of untreated videogame addiction. It will show you the effect an addictive videogame like World of Warcraft can have on an average European family that has stubbornly clung to the idea that nothing was wrong with their habit, and as a consequence let the quality of their lives suffer dramatically for it.

Now, with the release of the videogame's new expansion pack, dubbed 'Wrath of the Lich King', World of Warcraft will once again be in the news all over the world. As a result there have already been talks with major broadcasting stations to air our documentary on networks such as the BBC. More updates will be posted as we plan the release.
A word of caution:
It is not our intention to frighten people who recognize that they might have an addiction, nor those who know someone who may have one, but with today's dominance of videogames on the entertainment market many may feel that they do not need professional help, that they do not even have a problem or that if they do, they can deal with it themselves. Trained and credentialed professionals can assess the situation accurately and help you decide the best treatment or course of action.

About EIWWAT
The European Institute for World of Warcraft Addiction Treatment is a Belgian government subsidized organisation, founded in 2007 to deal with the complex issues of severe videogame addiction. Our goal is to support and effectively help the family and friends as well as the sufferer, and to help them regain control over their lives and manage the victim's virtual addiction.
Our institute focuses predominantly on the worldwide videogame hit World of Warcraft, which features a cohesive online world that now has over 9 million subscribers caught up in its fantasy. The game offers players the ability to create and customize their own virtual persona and encourages them to spend hundreds of hours adventuring and interacting with other people's online personas in order to enhance their experience and grow stronger in the game world.
Armed with this social aspect and an infinite amount of opportunities, World of Warcraft has become the single greatest threat for potential videogame addicts.
